Meet Stan Hunt
Born and raised on a small farm in Hall County, Stan Hunt has been serving the North and East Hall communities in one capacity or another his entire adult life. As the successful small business owner of The Cabinet Place, Stan has provided hundreds of good-paying jobs for Hall County families for 37 years.
Like any kid who grew up on a farm, Stan knows the workday isn’t 9-5. The work isn’t done until the job is done. That’s been his mindset as a small business owner for the last three decades, and he promises to do the same for the families and businesses of Hall County as your County Commissioner.
Growing up on the farm didn’t just teach Stan about hard work, it taught him about the importance of community. And when your community blesses you, you have a responsibility to faithfully return those blessings – and then some. For Stan and his family, they’ve committed their time and resources to the community’s churches and schools. From building cabinets for Sunday School rooms and local school locker rooms, to leading the East Hall Band Parents Association outfitting their students with new instruments, uniforms and a trailer Stan has worked to share the blessings of this community.
God has blessed Stan with two amazing women to share and partner with in life. After graduating from East Hall and majoring in civil engineering at Southern Tech, Stan married his high school sweetheart, Rhonda. Together they had two children, three granddaughters (that ARE STAN’S LIFE) and 35 years of marriage before Rhonda sadly passed away in 2021. Today, Stan and his wife, Denise, enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren, and are active members of Air Line Baptist Church.

Why Stan’s Running
Stan’s Number 1 priority is to give back. To give back to the community that has given so much to his family and to him. Stan has always taught his kids they’re blessed by where they live and have a responsibility to share those blessings with those who have blessed them. After living in this district his entire life, and having seen Hall County government at work since 1991, it’s time to finally roll up his sleeves and get to work in the day-to-day workings of our county.
Stan believes our local government needs to take a lesson from our families and small businesses. As a small business owner, Stan is the type of guy who can easily distinguish between needs and wants. That’s what folks want out of their local government – to provide the needs, not the wants. Stan will approach representing you the same way he’s lived his life and run his business. He will fight for a leaner, more transparent county budget that keeps your hard-earned money in your pocket. Not the county’s.
Because government should live within its means. Just like everyone else.

Stan’s Priorities
Fiscal Conservatism
Stan believes there is no better place to live and raise a family than Hall County. He wants to make sure every family can afford to do so. Stan will work to find ways to ensure young people and employees can live here in 20 years. He will work for property tax relief, and to attract more good paying jobs to the area that boost the tax base.
Eliminate Government Waste
Tax payers deserve local government that is transparent and communicates effectively. Not only will Stan work to eliminate waste and redundancy, while improving services. His experience means he needs no on the job training. Stan knows how to get it done.
Protect Rural Hall County
Between 40 years in the construction industry and his service on the planning commission, Stan has a unique understanding of the opportunities and challenges we face with growth in rural Hall County. Stan wants to preserve the rural quality of the community for as long as possible. That being said, growth is here and it is important how to manage what type and the quality of growth the region experiences. Stan’s business experience gives him the ability to see the needs of today as well as the needs of the community 25 years from now.
Stand With Law Enforcement
Hall County’s law enforcement and first responders are heroes, and they deserve the community’s unwavering support. Stan will work hand in hand with the Sheriff’s department and other state and local law enforcement to ensure they have the resources they need while eliminating any bureaucratic red tape that prevents them from doing their job.
